Shots Of the Old Building Before They Tore It Down

These were taken in April 2005, during the construction of the new building. It covers the entire area we knew as "the Playground." There was our old baseball diamond in this corner shown
here.

This is the view that has the most memories for me. It shows the exact location of the "annex" where we had a music room and a band room. These shown (the white buildings) are not the same, I remember ours was just a simple two-room wooden annex with a few steps in front of each classroom. And we had no air conditioning!

I remember almost every single thing about that old building, ecxept the SMOKESTACK! How could I have forgotten that thing? It was huge! And what was it for?

My favorite view is the one where you can see those little white buildings that sat outside across from the covered walkway beside the lunchroom. We called them "annexes." The ones in this picture are not the same as the ones we had.

Remembering Mrs. Bailey, Our Band Director

I would give anything to go back and relive just one hour of the time we spent playing in the band at Robinson School. I'll never forget that two-room building that sat outside the lunchroom and had
the band room on one side and the music room on the other.

Mrs. Bailey was the best piano player I had ever heard. Listening to her play always tickled me and made me want to laugh out loud, but I held it in. I could and should write a book about her and how she infuenced us all, the kids lucky enough to be in her bands and learn muic from her.
