My mother, Mary Jo Weaver, taught 5th grade at Robinson from about 1953 to 1968. Her classroom was in the old building, 2nd floor on the east side. I went to school there from 1st through 4th grade in the early 60s. At that time, the younger kids' school day ended at 2:00. I would then go up to Mom's room and sit with the "big kids" until the bell rang at 3:00.

My mother is now retired and living in Guntersville, AL. She has a photo of one of her 5th grade classes from the 1950s, showing all the students at their desks. I'll try to get a copy of it to scan and post.
